Non-Fiction Monday: What Happens To A Hamburger
March 31, 2008 by inneedofchocolate
M has been interested in anatomy for some time and we’ve checked out lots of books about the body and it’s different systems. She is particularly fascinated by digestion so we’ve read a lot of books about it and one of my favorites is What Happens to a Hamburger which is part of the Let’s-Read-and-Find-Out Science series. Readers watch a diner cook eat a hamburger then follow it’s journey from the mouth all the way through the large intestines, learning the functions of each part of the digestive system.
You can find the Non-Fiction Monday Roundup at Picture Book of the Day.

I don’t think I would enjoy this one as much as I am SURE the kids would. LOL It’s one of their favorite (giggle) subjects.
LOL! When she first asked for books about the digestive system, my daughter wanted me to make sure they had a picture of poop in them.
Very cute! This seems like a great choice to teach kids about the digestive system in a fun way.
Hi Jill! I really enjoy your blog, btw. It is a fun book. We like this whole series really. There’s another good body one called, A Drop of Blood.
