M’s interest in anatomy has led us to check out and purchase lots of body books and the one we have used the most is Usborne’s Little Encylopedia of the Human Body which is a small (in physical size only) version of The First Encylopedia of the Human Body. We especially love the all the pictures. M loves to listen to a few pages at a time and we use it to look up things when we have questions. It is advanced for the average 4 year old (I think the Usborne site says ages 8 and up) and it does contain a page spread about where babies come from that discusses the meeting of sperm and egg.
