I found this link via Parent Hacks and I wanted to share it. While I love many of the traditional gifts women get for mothers’ day - flowers, chocolate (of course), etc - I think the things listed in this post by Christine Carter are far more valuable - time with friends, quiet time for yourself, pampering from those who love you.
This year, I asked my husband for a day off. Now that C only nurses first thing in the morning and at bedtime, I can actually have a whole day to myself. I’m an introvert need lots of time to recharge so I can truly enjoy the time I spend with my girls, especially my extroverted high energy 4 yr old. I am looking forward to having a longer stretch of time to myself than I’ve had in a very long time!
Thanks for sharing that link!
