M and I are enthralled by Any Which Wall by Laurel Snyder which is our current chapter book read-aloud. I first heard about it from Laurel herself on the kidlitosphere list and I put it on my TBR list. Then I read Jen Robinson’s review and decided to buy it right away. It’s a perfect summer adventure to read during these more relaxed months. I’m intending to write a longer review once we finish it.
M picked out some books at the library that she’s been enjoying:
Feathered Dinosaurs by Christopher Sloan
Princess Smartypants by Babette Cole
Three Little Wolves and the Big Bad Pig by Eugene Trivizas
C’s favorite book and a daily request continues to be Freight Train by Donald Crews.
Her library favorites this week are Mr. Cookie Baker by Monica Wellington and Arabella Miller’s Tiny Catapillar by Clare Jarrett.
This Week’s What My Children Are Reading Round Up can be found here.

So glad that you and M are enjoying Any Which Wall!
I haven’t heard of any of those books but they look good. My post is here.
Any Which Wall just went on my list. I look forward to reading your review!
Ooh, I’ll have to check these out. Love the covers.
I’ll have to check out Any Which Wall and Mr. Cookie Baker (we’ve read Pizza at Sally’s).
Thanks to all of you for stopping by!!
We love all of the Monica Wellington’s books. We have our own copy of Apple Farmer Annie and we check out Pizza at Sally’s frequently. She’s got a new title, Ricki’s Birdhouse that I can’t wait to get my hands on.
M and I finished Any Which Wall today and we loved it all the way to the end. We spent a lot of time reading yesterday so we could finish it before she went to visit her grandparents. She said she could not leave without knowing the end
Well, it certainly looks like a winner, and I will have to check my library. The baker one looks adorable!!
Oh, this makes me so very hapy! Thanks so much for reading, and to your daughter too!!!
