Crinkleroot’s Guide to Knowing Butterflies and Moths by Jim Arnosky is one of our favorite books about butterflies. Each page has detailed, actual-size pictures of butterflies and moths, and the blocks of text are short and simple enough that M doesn’t get impatient with me reading them. C found Crinkleroot himself hilarious, and she loved his friendly Snake, Sassafrass. We’re going to look for more of Crinkleroot’s guides at the library.
Today’s Non-Fiction Monday Round Up can be found at Books Together.

Oh, I didn’t know there was a butterfly Crinkleroot book. We love him. Someday, I will have to blog about our adorable wooden Crinkleroot that I purchased on Etsy. Thanks for the review. Ordering it right now from the library.
I love books that illustrate creatures as their actual size. Thanks for sharing.
