For several years now, M has said she wants to be a vet, particularly a zoo vet, so when I saw a link to The Tiger Has A Toothache by Patricia Lauber, I immediately requested it from the library. I wish I could remember where I saw it, but it’s escaped me.
The book consists of several short (2-3 page) stories about various zoo animals needing care from one of the zoo vets. The stories include examples of treating injuries, parenting baby animals, and routine care. M found it fascinating and C listened happily as well.
