M and her dad are reading a book I had trouble putting down, Tentacles by Roland Smith, the sequel to Cryptid Hunters. M is so excited to be reading more of Grace and Marty’s story.
She and I are re-reading The Mitchells by Hilda Van Stockum. Both of us love the antics of the Mitchell children, and I certainly sympathize with their aggrieved mother.
Meg is continuing her own re-read of the Pony-Crazed Princess series by Diana Kimpton, reading the Jewel Fairies series by Daisy Meadows and challenging herself by reading Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone and The Lightning Thief. Yes, the stack of books on her nightstand is getting quite unwieldy.
C’s favorite reads this week are Bubbles, Bubbles by Kathi Appelt, Miffy Goes to the Zoo by Dick Bruna, House for a Hermit Crab by Eric Carle, The Belly Button Book by Sandra Boynton, The Color Kittens by Margaret Wise Brown, If You Give A Cat A Cupcake and If You Give A Pig A Party, by Laura Numeroff, and Yellow Ball by Molly Bang.
