Movies
Planet Earth – fascinating series covering different biomes of the earth
The Blue Planet – 8 episodes about life in the oceans from the makers of Planet Earth, available streaming on Netflix. M sat transfixed through 2 episodes yesterday.
Life – We don’t have cable so we haven’t been able to watch this Discovery Channel series as it has aired but we enjoyed seeing clips at the website and the DVD will be released on June 1st (both the American version with Oprah narrating and the British version with David Attenborough)
Disney Nature’s Oceans – My girls have been anticipating this movie since seeing a trailer when we watched The Princess and the Frog. You can see a trailer at the link above.

I love that you included some nonfiction and films alongside the other suggestions
Great list, thank you. We also watch David Attenborough’s Life documentary. It is very educational for all ages.
Well, thank you very much! This is exactly the kind of list I was looking for this morning.
