Elizabeth Bird from A Fuse #8 Production recently took a poll of readers’ ten favorite picture books, compiled the results and made a Top 100 Picture Books of All Time list which starts here. Then Pam, Susan, and Jen who write for the new PBS Booklights blog (which you should check out ASAP) made lists of their Top Ten Picture Books. All this listing has given me the need to list as well.
So here are . . . well, let’s say 10 of my favorite picture books in no particular order. The idea of picking only 10 and making such a definite statement that they are my favorites is just too much for me 🙂 And just to clarify, I’m limiting myself to one per author, and these are my favorites, meaning ones I want to read myself or share with any child that will listen. Each of my girls would have a different list. Maybe I’ll interview them and share theirs soon.
