Hi Sarah & all chocolate lovers,
Our newest CD, Tell Me A Story 3: Women of Wonder is our third and features a compilation of multicultural folktales of goddesses and heroines, read by some of stage and screen’s most dazzling performers. Each story is selected from my long-running syndicated newspaper feature Tell Me A Story (www.uexpress.com/tellmeastory) and includes illustrations by Jillian Gilliland, who illustrates the column. The stories are accompanied by original music. The reviews to date have been raves.
Our two previous collections, Tell Me A Story: Timeless Folktales from Around the World and Tell Me A Story 2: Animal Magic both also won rave reviews as well as Parents’ Choice Silver Honors Awards and National Association of Parenting Publications Gold Medals for storytelling. Animal Magic was just selected for third place in the world’s largest music awards (in the children’s story telling category) (up against thousands of contenders from 160 countries around the world).
You can read more about the CDs on our website http://www.mythsandtales.com. And, Sarah, if you’re interested in possibly reviewing , please let me know and I’d be happy to send a review copy.
Many thanks,
Amy Friedman, writer/producer,

Hi Sarah, we’re preparing for a move to Asheville and I would love to find out about the local homeschool groups. DD is only three so still too young to formally declare but I’d say we’re more on an unschooly curve in our overall philosophy but will learn towards eclectic when the time comes (at least as of now LOL). I’d love to meet other parents though and get into the community for playdates and would love to know about your art group :).
I can be reached at movingtoargentina dot gmail dot com
Thanks!
Laura
Hello Sara,
I am a graduate student at the University of Connecticut and I am researching parental motivations when purchasing illustrated children’s book. My team’s research is intended to assess the potential value of adding multimedia content to traditional illustrated children’s books, and how this may enrich a child’s experience with a book.
We created a brief four-page survey that should take less than eight minutes for a parent to complete.
The survey or the address is:
http://www.zoomerang.com/Survey/WEB22ATY56VF98.
It would be very helpful if after you reviewed our survey you could post a link to our survey on your blog. Finding participants for our survey is very critical to our research and I would be very appreciative of any help that you could provide.
Thanks!
Chris
