Our most recent book order included, Our Family Tree: An Evolution Story by Lisa Westberg Peters. I chose it to use in our prehistory curriculum after reading about it on the booklist at Charlie’s Playhouse and I’m glad I did. Both girls loves the soft lines and rich colors of Lauren Stringer’s illustrations, and M was fascinated by the idea that we could trace the molecules that make up our bodies back to the earliest life forms on earth.
This week’s Non-Fiction Monday round-up is at Wendie’s Wanderings.
This looks like another great book I shall have to order 🙂 Do you know this site from the BBC/Open University:
http://www.open2.net/life/tree_launcher.html
(and http://www.open2.net/darwin/index.html)
It’s based on a brilliant poster they did (which we have, but unfortunately isn’t available any more)
Oh, this looks great! It’s going right on my wish list.
